It has been lovely to see all the children return after their summer holidays. We have lots of exciting plans for this term with a number of school trips already planned.
Children will be visiting the Fleet Air Arm Museum, Gore Farm, Ditcheat Forest School and the local area.
Welcome to Ditcheat Primary School. Our website features all our news and updates as well as giving visitors a real feel for our busy and successful school. Please feel free to browse our site to find out more about us!
Our school is hidden away in the quiet and pretty village of Ditcheat, which is between the small Somerset towns of Shepton Mallet, Castle Cary and Evercreech and close to the Bath and West showground.
Our school ethos is encapsulated in our vision statement "Learning Together to Achieve our Best." For us this means working with the children to achieve the best we can in all aspects of the curriculum and school life. At the same time we have lots of fun and ensure school is a really enjoyable experience for all of our children.
Our aims are as follows:
~ We aim for high quality learning experiences, recognising the need to provide for different learning styles
~ We aim to equip all members of our school community to support each other as learners
~ We aim for everyone to make progress and feel successful
~ We aim to create a happy, safe, caring environment where everyone feels valued
~ We aim to foster respect, tolerance and consideration
Our website will give you a flavour of our school but you will find far more detailed information in the school prospectus which can be viewed in the documents section of this site or by contacting the school so that we can send you a copy.
Prospective parents are always welcome to visit us. If you contact the office we will arrange a mutually convenient time.
